Applicants to the Duke Physician Assistant program must meet the following prerequisites.
All applicants to the Duke University Physician Assistant Program are first required to have earned a bachelor’s degree from an institution accredited by the Commission on Colleges of a Regional Accrediting Organization.
If you are a college graduate, then you will need to earn your bachelor’s degree by the PA Program’s August start date.
If you received your bachelor’s degree from colleges and institutions outside the United States, then you must have completed at least one additional year (30 credit hours) of undergraduate or graduate study at a U.S. college or university prior to applying to this PA program.

A GRE score is required. Even if you have earned a master’s or doctoral degree. And GRE test scores are required no earlier than January 1, 2017, and no later than September 15, 2021. No other test scores will be accepted in lieu of the GRE.
Applicants’ scores must be reported directly from ETS to CASPA code 0422. In general, applicants are advised to follow up with CASPA to ensure that scores are posted to the application in a timely manner.
