Facilities of HUCM
Howard medical school is part of Howard University, a comprehensive research university. Traditionally, the university community has been predominantly black, and Howard has been a racially and internationally diverse institution throughout its history, with students, faculty, and staff from every country and many countries.

The Curriculum of HUCM
The core subjects of the first and second grades include:
Gross and developmental anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, histology and cell structure, pharmacology, medical genetics, microbiology, pathology, psychiatry, and biometrics, and epidemiology. At the same time, two interdisciplinary courses were offered in the first year.
In the second year, interdisciplinary courses were offered, including the pathophysiology of organ systems, infectious diseases. And the principles of physical diagnosis in the third introduction to patient care.
The third and fourth years include continuous internships and teaching units for examinations in various clinical subjects. In the fourth year, have the opportunity to gain additional clinical or research experience through the twenty-four-week elective courses.
The design of these courses in the medical school is to broaden the basic medical knowledge acquired by students in the core courses, and also to meet the needs of individual students based on their own interests and choices of future medicine or medical-related majors.
