University of Nebraska Medical Center Medical School is dedicated to preparing medical degree students to meet the health care needs of patients through clinical practice, biomedical science and research, problem-solving and compassion.

At UNMC College of Medicine, students have many opportunities to participate in additional programs which provide in-depth study in a selected area of medicine.

The University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine has 1,017 full-time faculty on staff. Currently, the faculty-student ratio at UNMC is 2:1. 

Creighton University School of Medicine

The Creighton University School of Medicine (CUSM), founded in 1892, is one of the best medical schools in Nebraska. CUSM located in Omaha, Nebraska, United States. It is a graduate medical school that grants an MD degree.

Each year, the School of Medicine admits 230 students. All matriculating medical students complete preclinical coursework in Omaha, and 42 third-year students complete their clinical rotations in Phoenix.

In addition to the MD program, Creighton University Medical School also offers PhD programs, Dual degree Programs, MD & MPH programs.

Although Creighton University Medical School is unranked among the best medical schools in the nation, admission to CUSM is highly comeptitive. The latest Acceptance Rate of Creighton University School of Medicine only was 6%.
